I finally got my first clippless SPD pedals last weekend ... they are in fact "hybrid pedals", since they have SPD on one side and a platform on the other.
I needed this type since I do some tricky trails through mountainous fields sometimes, where I'd rather be unclipped to get my feet to the ground instantly when needed ... the platform side is also more suited for family trips to be able to wear casual shoes.
I got the Shimano A530's with Shimano M076 SPD shoes and so far I love 'em.
The A530s look great on your bike! These also came as stock pedals in my new bike and a lot of people ask me about it. My cleats though are a bit difficult to remove on the A530's even on the weakest position of the pedal springs (which was not the case in my Shimano M324 "hybrid pedals").
