Last night I experienced a really nasty ride home. I ride a breezer 8, and usually I just cruise. Last night I wanted to get home so when I came to a slight rise I stood up to get over it. This was about 1 mile from the house. I hear a big clang, followed by the sound of the chain rubbing on the chainstay. Ug. The axel bolt wasn't tight and it pulled the rear out of alignment when I stood up. I can't believe I made it 200 miles like that, but as soon as I hit the gas, boom. Unfortunately I didn't have an axel wrench in the bag so I ended up with a nice easy 3 mph ride home with a bike that didn't even want to roll. I then loosed up the bolts, put it back into alignment and tightened everything up. Ride this morning was great and I'm looking forward to the ride home.
