I couldn't agree more, but there are some very nice cycling roads as well. RI DOT has put together a nice map showing bike suitable routes -
here.
I also have the MS150 day 2 route mapped out in ridewithgps.com. It is from Ct College (New London) to Narr High School. The roads were good and lightly trafficked.
