Heel slipping in carbon shoes
Hey guys,
The only cycling shoes I've had so far are a pair of Shimano R086. They are very comfortable and cheap but I wanted some higher end shoes now with a carbon soles. The R086 shoes come up very high on the ankle area for me and effectively locks my heel down super well. I've tried on alot of more expensive shimanos and sidis and noticed that they are usually more low cut and there is always a little heel slippage when I'm walking around in them. They just don't have that super locked down feeling as my R086's. I don't really notice any slippage when riding with them on the bike. My question is, is the slippage due to the super stiff carbon soles not allowing the shoe to flex, thus pulling my heel out? Is this slippage normal for everyone?
