WHat happens is that people going south georgetown bound are going much faster than the opposite traffic. If i go that way i can easily do 25mph, and i've seen 30mph many times. It has alot of traffic so definatly a very tricky area.
the capital crescent is indeed popular, but this sort of thing can happen anywhere to anyone. It looks like one of the riders misjudged the speed of a cyclist coming the opposite away as they were going around pedestrians. I know i hate hitting my brakes when im going to overtake walkers when you are letting a bike go by, but is either you time it right or you brake. I usually let people go by.
