(sorry for the offtopic) but have you tried with heating the crank (stove works) and not the pedal? this causes the crank to dilate and the pedal to get out easily

I was discussing some methods with a mate (Who's the head wrench in his shop) and he said because the crank was alloy, and the pedal axle was steel, heating it wouldn't really do much to help.
Plus I have an induction stove, so no flames
