Driveway M35+: teammate J: 2nd Me: 4th

We decided to skip the whole kilo thing and just rotate attacks until one of us died or one stuck. It was just the two of us. The B&S team had 7.

J goes from the gun, channeling his inner RX. Cbip follows him almost immediately. Good team representation that way and I don't have to worry so much about him being chased down.

I prepared myself to counter when he got caught. After a couple laps, Cbip's teammate bridges and tags Cbip out so he can come back to the pack. They're about 10s off the front.

The bridge attempts start coming, and I'm covering about half of them, B&S covering the other half.

At one point, the break was w/in 5", but nobody could quite finish it off, so B&S and I go to the front and ride tempo at 22mph.

Pretty soon, J and partner are 25" up. 2 to go. 30" up. On the last lap, things heated up a bit. I picked the right wheels, but couldn't beat PJR in the sprint (I never can). He won the P123 tonight, so I feel ok finishing half a wheel behind him.

J didn't have the fire to attack his break partner and didn't attack him at all. 2nd for that, but it's respectable I guess. I say pull out the knives on the last lap, but I think J was just happy to see his season turning around. Great ride on his part.

I was sitting on 350W NP for the middle half-hour covering attacks. That was some hard riding -- a couple of those guys were killing me, just in their draft. I never let one go though.

Great night. First top 5 of the year for me

Got paid.
