Will be crossing Nevada on "the Loneliest Road in the World" (Highway 50) this summer and since it's going to be very hot, I am a little (only a little) concerned about the water situation. Not many towns on this route.
Will I die of thirst? Maybe bring purifing tablets? Or are creeks dried out ?

Are snakes, scorpions and spiders a problem when free-camping in the desert ?
