Bikes: too many

That is alot of info to absorb! But also very helpful. My Cadent is a "performance road hybrid" according to Raleigh. I'd have to agree. It feels like a race bike but more upright and comfortable. That equals a happy me. The newer ones look like townie hybrids. Ugh.

So as for the wider a319 with a wider 28-30mm tire....that sounds like sweet rolling. When does (or does it at all?) the width of a wheel start to adversely affect the way the brake pads contact it, mandating a caliper change? I mean you can only adjust the limiters out so far, right? Hopefully ill still be able to undo the quick release lever and take off the wheel with having to let air out too. That's always a pain.

Mr. IGH and Colonel Lloyd...thanks for the links!! much appreciated

and thanks to everyone for your insight and help
I wish bike shops were this honest
