Higher quality bikes have their benefits and like a fine wine, you'll know what makes it better if you know what to look for otherwise just ride your bike and enjoy.

Note: I'm not encouraging you drink wine and ride.

Wayyyy more tedious to hear repeatedly on these forums (and other places) about how anything under 105 components is not worth paying for. If you come to BF , you come away thinking that you need some fancy hi-end bike to ride well, when there's nothing further from the truth - a new intro level road bike like the OPs will have a great ride and will allow even the racing at very high levels.
