I thought it would be cool since I'm a new rider (and it seems like quite a few people here are as well) to start a thread where we don't ask you vets questions, but maybe you guys instead tell us something you wish you had known when you first started road biking.
i.e. in running it's always "don't worry about speed just get comfortable going distances and the speed will come"...just general advice!
any cool insights?
Seems so basic now, but within three months of "serious" riding I learned the hard way (almost passing-out on a ride) about eating before a ride.
