Yeah. That's how they came. I am doing mine with a white tape and saddle and housing, but there are a few curveballs thrown into the equation

You can get an RD-1050 (105 rear derailleur that was stock on those) for $10 on ebay. But I would not sweat it. The 600 tricolor was better. Mine came totally upgraded with 600 tricolor FD, RD, shifters and Dura Ace crank. The brakeset was the original 1050 105, but I upgraded the brakes to 600 tricolor and the levers to dual pivot 1055 105 (because I like sensitive breaking and all of those match the grayish anodized cover on the components)

I noticed that. And I do not have a shot of the headtube. I don't think that it will pull anything off. These guys were well done and the decals were under a clear coat. If it bothers you, get some hot water and a putty knife (or a fingernail) and work on it. I guarantee that it will not pull off any clearcoated paint or the decal.
