Just had a nice commute to the local Mexican restaurant. My taco salad turned out to be a little soupy but I had a nice conversation with a couple of kids coming out. One of them thought I was a civil engineer because of my reflective vest (they had career day today apparently).
So we exchange bicycle interests and they asked why I rode a bike since I was old enough to drive. I reminded them how fun it was and then I told them that I save a lot of money and I can spend it on toys. They seemed to understand that. The dad seemed to appreciate it as well.
I've really enjoyed all the doors that cycling seems to have opened with strangers. People may seem to think we're crazy but they seem fascinated by us none the less. And I don't really like people but it's hard to ignore the genuine interest.
