In other words any used or NOS 9/10 speed hubs on eBay will work with 11 speed cassettes. Not the case for 8 speed, though!
The finest wheels for a vintage look, IMO, are the silver Record hubs, with the classic oil hole and cover. Here's my 10 speed rear hub:
i wanted those hubs, but i got my veloce ones attached to ambrosio rims for $100 with about 50 miles on them.
for what its worth, campagnolo does/did make an 8spd cassette that fits on a 9/10/11 speed hub and some of the 8 speed hubs could be upgraded to 9/10/11 speed cassette bodies (i know some shamals could be)
