Tough situation, I can't imagine going through that. We have quite a lot of deer ticks right around my area so if I spend any time in the woods, I make sure to wear a hat & do a head-toe tick check when I get home. scary stuff.
My dogs are vaccinated for Lyme Disease, not sure why they cant (don't?) give such a vaccination to humans...
