Hello you all.

I'm a student of materials engineering and I want to ask some things about the frame process:
1. What are the stages from the cast factory to the bike (I mean everything; include the heat treatment process, quenching, welding and so)?

2. Dose the factory sell the 6061 after the t6?

3. So, when does the welding is to be done?

4. Does the bicycle manufacturer do the welding, and does he do any heat treatment after?

Everything I asked means only to the 6061 alloy. I will appreciate all: Articles, links...
