Needless to say, eliminating alcohol and soft drinks should be the first order of business if you haven't done so already.
Congrats on the progress so far! I was already fairly fit and at 6'3" 200lbs I was not heavy by any means, but even I have lost 8-10 pounds in the last 4-5 weeks since I got a road bike (300+ miles ago).
I hope you are taking pictures to document - I bet it would be inspiring.
