Maybe. For every added cog tooth the axle will move forward about 1/8" and you need at least 1/4" movement left in the dropout to get enough slack in the chain to get it off the chainring to remove the wheel. So, if you have at least 1/2" movement in the dropout with your current gearing, you might not need to add a link, and even if you do, you only need a half link, which will move the axle back 1/4".
