I ride Michelins and they are a bit larger than most 23's.
They are extremely popular for road bikes used for training and exercise rides. But they do not respond well to big divots in the pavement or hitting shoulder debris at speed. Mind you 25's aren't a WHOLE lot bigger but from my experience those silly 2mm's of extra casing seem to make far more difference than they would suggest.
