what is your favorite?

Last night i saw a Nishiki Champion (OLD) under a pile of bikes chained to to a tree. It was beaten and not taken care of clearly.....and it was a fixie conversion. Some young hipster.....im sure.

I hate seeing these fantasticly cool frames abused. I dont have a problem with SS/Fixie riding. I do it myself. I ride a 35+ y/o OU8. It has paint chips and some interesting patina but i keep it completely cleaned right down to a coat of Meguiars car wax a few times a season. I will remove the chain and clean it every couple hundred miles etc. It never gets left outside. It never gets a CHAIN lock. I use my rubber coated ULOCK and cable. Nothing metal on metal. I guess i like preserving what i have and enjoying it. I guess i was taught to take care of what i have and it will treat me well. Just a shame to see...neglect and the throw away generation not realizing they are destroying good history....

Anyway this Nishiki champion was awsome. Old, gold color. The rear seat stays came up and wrapped around the front of the seat post. Very very unique nice design. I would love to have it for my collection..


My other favorite would be the lotus aero. Not sure why other than the unique design. I hear they are not that great but i like the look of hte tubing and the frame in general.
