" Hey,
Wildlife? The extent of wildlife that I've seen is a few chipmunks and birds. An occasional squirrel. Even fairly deep into the woods I've yet to see even a deer. Consider yourselves lucky.

Anyone in the Northeast US see much wildlife?"

Yes, JohnBoston, there is wildlife in the area. I live 15 miles from downtown Boston. Deer, racoon, oppossum, skunk and wild turkeys are regulars on my commute. I've seen as many as 14 deer on a one-way trip. Less commonly seen are coyotes, fox, woodchuck(population way down with the increase in coyotes) and otter. There are rumors of bobcat and bear, but you couldn't prove it by me. When I worked in the Northend of Boston I used to see raccoon on the waterfront. Just keep riding in the early morning or dusk hours and you will see wildlife.
