I also know some guys who race 60 times a year and are happy being middle of the pack day in and day out. For my money the Nyack ride is the scariest thing I could possibly do. Those guys are nuts and think nothing of swinging caddy corner into the oncoming lane of traffic of a 55 mph road. I'm way too old for that. You do what you like in life. pcad has always been happiest putting in big miles. The day I stop racing I'll spend my weekends up north hiking with the dog and the mrs. Of course I may race until I'm 60. Right now it's still fun despite my season getting royally effed due to injury.
