"Please don't die on me!"

So I pull down my Peugeot and cleaned it up for a long overdue outing. I noted my Cateye CC-6000 was not working. So off to the store to get a new battery. I quickly located the right batteries and went on to do some more shopping. I put my old battery back in and noted that I could very dimly see the wheel setting. So I tore open the batteries to go ahead and power up! But noooooooo! it did not light up. No response! Flatline! So I'm telling it no don't die. You can have my data just come back on. I tried the other battery from the pack and the old battery and nothing. Dead. Well I'm bummed for a few aisles and decide to try one more time. I pulled the battery held down all 3 buttons and inserted the battery! Alive!! It's Alive! I'll need it for my ride tomorrow. All the functions work on it. I bought it in 1992. I just thought I'd share with the gang.
