Yesterday I raced a 38.75 mile road race in Barnesville, MD - the Giro di Coppi. The weather was brutally hot and humid (96°F with humidity in the 65% range) and did not play to my strengths. The course had lots of lovely rollers, some steep, and some tight corners that had folks leaning in a lot to ride a clean line. I helped a teammate stay with the lead group and he came in 4th. I popped 1/4 of the way through the final lap (of three), and spun in for a top-25 finish, well off the winners but feeling like it was a good day of racing.

Today I'm housecleaning, making way for a new bed.
