What bike do you currently ride: Trek 4500 MTB and a 2009 Specialized Rockhopper Comp. Disc
How long have you been riding?: I rode as a kid all the time. I still have my Schwinn 10 Speed sitting in the basement.

I've always had a passion for riding. I rode in my 20's....tried again in my 30's but was embarassed cause of my weight and had a few bad experience with people making comments that I stopped. I'm now getting back into riding.
Are you currently trying to lose weight, and how are you going about it?: I'm looking to get healthy again. I'm now in my early 40's and want to get fit and healthy and of course lose some weight. I haven't joined any weight loss program. I'm just watching what I eat. No breads, no additional sugar. Not calorie counting but I am aware of the calories i'm eating. I loss 100 pounds back in 2005/2006 but ended up gaining the weight back due to a few medical problems and stressful situations so I would love to lose that again. I know I can
What is your ultimate goal?: To learn more about biking and how to ride better. I also hope to get healthy and fit and enjoy my 40's.
How often do you ride and for how long?: I just started riding on July 13th and did 8 miles that day on the road and trails. I've been doing that same route all week. I'm starting slow but looking to increase my distance and of course speed.
What is your favorite thing about riding?: I love how good I feel being out on the trails. Freedom. I love enjoying nature. I love the adventure. Love the speed. The distance. I gotta funny feeling that I will end up getting a road bike once I lose a good portion of this weight.
