Watched the replay many times. My 2 cents internet opinion is:

- Vino chases to close the gap and catchup to Schleck. When he sees AS have trouble, he slows down immediately after passing Schleck. Very clearly at 0:49-0:50. He then looks behind for an update at the end of 0:50-0:51 only see Contador fly past him at 0:53. Whereupon he feels needed to stay with his team mate (team orders?).

- Coming from *behind* Schleck, Contador definitely saw the yellow jersey's mechanical and continued to accelerate all the way to the top. Even if you give him the benefit of the doubt of the initial pass at 0:51, he definitely knew after that pass that he was determined to create as large a gap as possible.

Contador's lack of respect for other riders is a common theme from last year's TdF, his treatment of Vino earlier this year and today's behaviour. No class.
