We always have big clocks at the crits for the countdown.
The confusing part is when they switch to laps-to-go, it might be counting down on the clock itself, or they have the blue wooden signs to say how many laps left. Sometimes the clock is on the right, but the countdown board on the left. Seems to work well in general tho.
