Sorry, this a cross post with the regional discussion, but I wasn't certain which forum would be the best bet.

I'm likely moving to Jersey, working in Midtown, and I'm trying to keep commuting by cycle as much as I can. I'd been planning on using NJ Transit and a folder. But is it crazy to bike to Newark or Harrison and ride the PATH to Manhattan? I don't know the area very well, but I assume there are lots of lousy neighborhoods and busy streets. Still, I'd like to avoid paying the insane costs of a monthly NJ Transit ticket and get some good miles in.
