Yesterday I was out on my Pegoretti Marcelo with Campy and as I started up a hill I shifted to the small ring and the carbon cage on the frt der broke. It has worked fine the previous 2500 miles. Is this a freak thing or has anyone expierenced this before? Could this be rider error or an adjustment problem? The worst part is that my frame which was nearly flawless now has big scratches where the chain hit the chain stay. I plan on getting the paint repaired but am afraid of this happening again. It's my first bike with campy. Thanks for any imput.
