I am wearing my Specialized mountain shoes as we speak, and I didn't ride my bike to work tonight. Some shoes are so comfortable, I wear them all over. An SPD road shoe is merely a mountain shoe without the walking ability. I see no point in it. All other things being equal, of course. That leaves what, stiffness in the sole?
