The shorter answer to the question is, I HAVE run through a red light, after I've stopped then checked for clear cross traffic before proceeding. I also then have filed a report with that municipality that there was a malfunctioning traffic light that wouldn't trigger for me at that intersection.
90% of the time though, I can orient myself on the roadbed sensor or the video sensor overhead to trigger a light and make every effort to do so.
