Bring a grinder with you just in case it get stuck again out in public.
Just kidding. Seriously I think you might have rotated the rear wheel forward enough such that the spoke was tension against the lock while the crank arm rotated backward locking that against the lock. Not a good thing if that happen when you lock your bike away from home.
