Bikes: 2002 Giant Yukon Commuterized

What should I do with this, Hiawatha 10-speed?

I was in a different town the other day on a job interview. After the interview, I stopped by the Goodwill store. This was sitting out front for 15.95$:

It had a rack, rear panniers, a cannondale bar bag, 3 mirrors, extra set of junky tires, mechanical speedo, light system, etc.

It's a Hiawatha 10-speed that from my research was probably made by Murray. It still has the sticker from the Gambles store that it was purchased from in Owosso, MI. I just thought it was a neat looking classic bike. I spent a few hours cleaning it up. The entire bike was basically covered in grease that was covered in dust. A lot of the bike actually shined up ok. The rims seem to be pretty cheap, you can see where the rim was put together and welded. The rear rim is a little out of round. The rear brake sticks when you press it.

I was thinking about making it into a project bike, but I'm not sure it's worth the effort based on the quality of the bike. What do you think?

Here it is after a decent cleaning:
