No, I didn't cause it.
Two or three guys got tangled up about four spots ahead of me. Fortunately it was during the warm-up area between stoplights rather than at full speed on the open road. No notable injuries, minor bike damage.
I made it a
little bit farther with the pack tonight.
Still, I stink. Obviously some of it is horse power and not being able to accelerate at pivotal moments. But some of it is still not being familiar/comfortable with the group dynamic.
It's a different animal than solo. And it gives me a hefty dosage of self-loathing.
It gets easier the more comfort you have. You ride closer and whatnot. Earlier in the year I would have like 18" from wheels know when they crank it up I spend a alot of time <6", which helps at speed. Of course this is on flats where this is a huge consideration, not sure how I would do on a group ride through hills.
