Here's a map of sorts of the state park trails. Elroy-Sparta is in the middle of a string of trails that stretches for 100 miles.

There's also the Omaha going north from Elroy, which is maintained by the county conservation board.

There's primitive camping on both ends of Elroy-Sparta, and many of the towns in between allow camping in their town parks. There's also motels (particularly in Sparta, which is on I-90).

Bring a flashlight with you. The tunnels are unlit.
