Unfortunately i have said i took the bike outside and whatever comments about shipping/the courier and the condition of the box. It did look damaged. I didn't think of how, what, where as far as that is concerned. He asked and i just reported the box didn't look good. I felt that the item was not packed well at all. I didn't say this but the courier was struggling with the box as he went up my stairs and i thought the bike would drop out the bottom of the box. It looked so fragile.
I haven't brought up ebay yet but that is an idea. They said they were contacting him anyway and maybe that is why he is 'trying' so hard. I think he knows he is being monitored so to speak.
Yeah i am not setup to fix big things like this. I am in a tiny apartment and struggle to fix my computers. I also do not possess brute force because of my disability.
Dunno what the BBB is...Must be like the Office of Fair Trade that we have in Australia :0)
I just may not have the right tools and spending more money is not really an option!
I think the other bike you mentioned might be out of my budget. I only spent $250aud on this bike. That is really as far as i can go!
So if i did try to repair what would i need and how much time would it require. Can you give me a summary? Ultimately in the end is it 100% Will i be able to fix the bike?
No wonder your having so much problems.......being in Aussieland your working upside down. LOL

BBB stands for Better Business Bureau and I'm guessing it is simular to your Office of Fair Trade. It might also help to advise him that you are a long time member in several internet bike forums and you would like to give his organization a good rating on these forums but you will not hesitate to be 100% honest and things aren't looking to good so far.

EBay should be about to give you the phone # and Address of this supplier. I know I got this info from my credit card company one time when I was having a problem with supplier.

Everything can be fixed. The question is at what cost and how much work. Does the information with the bike indicate what tryp of motor it has? Can you determine if it is a brushed or non-brushed motor? This will make a difference if you try to change the throttle of controller. What is the voltage of the battery? Any info you can give will make it easier to determine the cost of repair. All these parts will very in cost and you really don't want to experiment.

I would keep after the supplier. If he is close by then keep after him and try to find a way to get his address or phone #.

EDIT.....How many wires did you say come from the throttle to the controller?
