Finally got some pics to post up for some of my ride route... hope you folks enjoy! These aren't my best pics, but my good camera is a bit large to carry on the bike.

Morning sunrise in southern Louisiana:

Highway 311 through the cane fields and plantation homes


Thousands of acres of sugar cane. It's taller than me.

Local Antebellum plantation home. They are constantly shooting movies at this one, it's gorgeous. We're still on highway 311.


Here's highway 20, about 6 miles of nothing but swamp and roadkill.


There are trees all along the highway with Spanish moss on them, looks gorgeous in the morning sunlight. This isn't a great shot, I'll see if I can get a better one at some point.


And of course, my trusty steed, a Pacific Cycles/Schwinn beater. Doesn't look like it would carry me 1000 miles, but it's getting the job done.
