No expert here.But if he did wait.That would have let the other riders gain time.Singling out Alberto when perhaps other riders did the same thing seems a bit unfair.I think the third place rider took off first.Then as they got further they begin to work with each other.Like one pro said"Its a bike race".Andy will have many more chances in the coming year.I do not see this as taking advantage of Andy.I think they are both great riders who seem to get along well,unlike Lance and Alberto did last year.
