He hit a small bump a few meters before then he was going just fine, but the rear derailleur caused the chain to slip on the rear cassette, its EXACTLY what happened on Stage 15. Basically its just really bad derailleur and cassette design as Iv been saying for days now.
They even modified Contadors derailleur on his TT bike today/yesterday because the mechanic realized how crappy sram is. This is not my opinion, just stating you the facts.
