PS - Shimano and Look road pedals are not self centering. the float is primarily at the back of the cleat, though - the heel pivots.
Oops, I think I was mixing up Bebops with another pedal. Still, they just don't appeal to me all that much - I'm leery of a pedal system that's so relatively unpopular and from looking at the instructions I can't see how they'd give as stiff a platform as more conventional road pedals (or Speedplays).

Interesting that you say that about Shimanos and Looks. I was under the impression that all the classic road pedal styles had some tendency to centre themselves.
