He's a good field sprinter, no doubt about that. He's not a game changer like everyone was saying last year. He had his one hot year. For a while Boonen looked unbeatable, then Petacchi. He'll pick up 2 stage wins every year but he's never going to win 5-6 again.

Last year I told everybody who would listen (which was noone) that Cav was overrated. He had his best year when all the other top sprinters were out of the race or not in form. When he's at 2% body fat he's pretty good but he's not on the level of Petacchi or McEwen. Petacchi has a good long sprint and he does well when he jumps the HTC train. He did the same in an early stage of the Giro last year.

I've been laughing every time someone talks about Cav in the Green Jersey race as I don't think there's much chance he will ride all the way to Paris...I wouldn't be too surprised to see him pull out before the first mountain stage.
