The dual pivot MIGHT be designed such that it can apply the same braking force as the front. If it is, then that's a mistake (like all the other brands). Ideally, the rear brake should have less power than the front, so there is less chance of locking up a rear tire. The only advantage with the dual pivot is that it should have a set screw for easy centering. The single pivot required both a 15mm wrench and a 5mm hex wrench for centering.
