Me? Arrogant? Snob? You must be kidding, at least if you knew me you would never say those things. I'll ride anything, dirty, fredly, whatever. I'll wear the cheapest Performance clothes and take all the kidding that goes with it, and my white socks. I'm the furthest thing from a snob that there is.
However, I draw the line when it comes to those archaic, deadly foot torture devices known as toe clips. Yes, I used them more than 20 years ago and they suck. Feet get numb, there's no float which I need, and if you tighten them up you can't get out unless you reach down and loosen them.
I have old bikes, bar end and down tube shifters and decades old stuff, but toe clips are the suck, IMHO.
