I was just pointing out to the OP that he could use the slotted cleats just as well as clipless. Maybe he has quill pedals hanging around, and there are plenty of people who do, and he could be in business without buying new cleats and/or new pedals. I should have stated that it was my opinion that he could use one as easily as the other.
