...just back from the LBS

Took my Opus III to the local bike shop this morning....they spent a great deal of time with me and were friendly and helpful (eventually all of the mechanics/owner/everybody were over staring at the powercam and wondering how I would ever get up a hill with that thing...the smallest on the front crank is a 44).....they were quite helpful but got me quite discouraged. They were saying that with the 126 spacing, they MAY be able to get a 7 cassette on the back, but my rear derailleur may not get it that far. In the front, they were saying that it didn't look like they could get a derailleur to work on the front, since the difference between the big one and the small one on the powercam was so great (44 small, 50something big). When I came home I simply manually moved the chain from the big powercam gear to the small powercam gear to test out my climbing ability. Certainly, it's not as great as if I had a 34 or something of that nature, but I'm still a good climber and felt OK with it. (I hate to just take off the powercam and put on the original crank...b/c on flats and downhills, I'll blow past everyone in high gear). Anyways, I've found some good 130spacing wheels I'd like to buy (b/c they're on huge discount right now), but I really am hesitant to do so if they're not going to work with my rear equipment. Should I take it to another LBS for a second opinion, or should I go ahead and buy the wheels and a new 7 cassette and make it all work myself??
