Met a roadie who actually lubed my chain today WITH HIS lube!!!!!! met him at the LBS lol.

But yeah. The bike he had (Madone 6 series) inspired me to build a ss off a road bicycle frame. (eccentric hub/chain tensioner).

QUESTION: Anyone ever BOUGHT a road bike frame (no old-school conversions count) such as a Look 586 or like a Trek 2.1 (Oviously very expensive- giving you the idea of what im getting at) and converted to a ss?

I know its a crazy idea. Buying a road frame like Cinelli Estrada or like a new Carbon Fiber framed bike and converting to a ss.

I mean, like building a Road Bike. Something that when people see it, they don't see the FG/SS scene. They see the Roadie scene. But the catch: Its a singlespeed.

I swear. Like for example, buying a Cervelo R3 (http://www.cervelo.com/en_us/bikes/2010/R3/) and adding Bontrager Wheels (sexiest wheelset Ive ever seen- http://bontrager.com/model/08260).
