How much time or distance are involved in climbing stairs? Not much, I'd imagine (at least compared to driving, walking or cycling).

You are aware that Ken Kifer was killed by an auto while riding his bicycle? Just seemed a little strange to be "poking" at him given the circumstances.
If I want to travel from point A to point B I want to know what my chances for morbidity/mortality are no matter how long it takes me, whether or not I drive a car, ride a bike, or sit on the shell of a turtle.
That statistic is the one that has real meaning for me.
It is your choice to prefer other statistics. But I want the figure above.
