That's a lot of money. For that money, you could get a new bike. Would it be as nice? Maybe not, but you'd still have your Fuji. Wouldn't you really rather have two bikes? Maybe you could get an IGH bike used.

If you're set on doing some or all of this work, I highly recommend you get top quality spokes. You really get your money's worth. Really. You won't ever regret it.

wheelbuilder.com had the best price on DT spokes, last time I checked. But don't read their pages for advice. They have a lot of falsehoods and folklore.
