I had the innards of a presta valve shoot out of the stem once after I fixed a flat. That was not my day.
It's just bad luck with different punctures. I need to ride further out in the wheel tracks and avoid the old abandoned bike paths. I've been exploring lately and some of the old bike paths have become abandoned minefields of broken glass. I keep looking at a set of Mr Tuffys, but they just seem like fixing the problem from the wrong end.
