One of my goals for next year is to get better at sticking to a plan. My problem seems to be that I come up with a plan, screw it up, and then have to scramble to pull something together for my "big" races, which isn't an ideal situation for me or for the people who have to read my endless questions here on bf. I imagine I'd probably do pretty good with a coach because my training plan ADD wouldn't continue to hinder me. Either way, it is all part of the learning process. Hopefully in next year and in future years I will get better at sticking to a plan.
Another part of the problem seems to be that I look up to everyone so much in the 33 from a riding perspective that I feel like a fool going against their advice. But, as Friel points out there is more than one way to achieve the same goals and everyone doesn't always agree on which one is the best.
After all that, I think I'm going to stick with kensuf's original plan - a few days off, a hard ride, and lots of lighter / recovery rides. I plugged in some sample tss values into GC and I should end up with a +5 to +10 TSB for race day, which seems to be pretty good.
